Positioned within Wells Fargo's Consumer Banking and Lending division, the Senior Branch Premier Banker (SAFE) focuses on proactive acquisition of affluent clients, deepening relationships, and guiding clients through comprehensive financial options while upholding licensing and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- This role begins as a temporary position for team members not yet fully licensed, participating in the Branch Banking Licensed Banker licensing program as a Senior Branch Premier Banker LP (SAFE). Upon successful licensing, individuals advance to the Senior Branch Premier Banker (SAFE) role and perform the following duties.
- Proactively acquire new affluent consumer and small business customers and deepen existing relationships through outreach and pre-planned appointments.
- Review and resolve moderately complex customer concerns by applying appropriate resolution protocols.
- Escalate banking issues or business risks that require in-depth evaluation.
- Advise customers on recommended and available financial options and services.
- Maintain deep knowledge of Wells Fargo's banking, credit, and investment solutions and services.
- Identify client needs and goals for business, mortgage, retirement, and investment services, then partner with peers in Business Banking Advisory Services, Mortgage, and Wealth and Investment Management to meet those goals in light of the client’s overall financial circumstances.
- Understand and manage risk by adhering to policies, procedures, controls, and applicable laws and regulations.
- Collect information directly from customers regarding income, assets, investments, and credit; analyze data to develop customized plans that align Wells Fargo options with client needs.
- Build and sustain relationships with branch colleagues, affluent customers, and partners to acquire, deepen, and retain relationships and support customers in achieving financial success.
- Exercise independent judgment in managing client relationships through regular meetings to review financial condition and goals, offering advice on banking services to meet changing circumstances.
- Contribute as an active member of the branch team, guiding colleagues on developing relationships and handling moderately to complex client needs.
- This SAFE role includes customer contact duties that may involve offering or negotiating terms and taking applications for dwelling secured transactions. It requires compliance with the SAFE Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 and related regulations, with ongoing employment contingent upon meeting licensing and background-check requirements.
Requirements
- Minimum four years of customer service experience, demonstrated through work history, training, military service, or education.
- At least three years of experience building and maintaining effective relationships with customers and partners.
- Three or more years of experience recommending products and services.

Pay range
Base pay range: USD 37 - 65 per hour. Pay may vary based on demonstrated performance, skills, experience, or work location, and eligible employees may participate in incentive opportunities.
