Founded in 1993, Bayview Asset Management is an investment management firm focused on mortgage and consumer credit investments, including whole loans, asset-backed securities, mortgage servicing rights, and other credit-related assets.
Position Summary
The successful candidate will work with regional and international clients on a broad set of complex transactions, including acquisitions, divestitures, mergers, joint ventures, corporate restructuring, shareholder relations, recapitalizations, demergers, leveraged buyouts, and defenses against unsolicited takeover attempts. The role also encompasses strategic advisory assignments and the execution of public and private capital markets transactions.
Responsibilities
- Play a key role in evaluating, executing and monitoring investments across the firm’s portfolio.
- Build and analyze detailed financial models and valuations.
- Drive diligence workstreams and coordinate third-party advisors.
- Prepare investment committee materials and deal summaries.
- Monitor portfolio company performance and support value creation initiatives.
- Conduct market and industry research.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
- Strong analytical, modeling and presentation skills.
- Detail-oriented, collaborative and comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Education and Experience
1 to 3 years of experience in investment banking, consulting or private equity. Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics or related field. Asset-backed finance, specialty finance or depository experience.
Location and Compensation
This role will be based in our New York, NY 10019 office. Base compensation is expected to be $110,000 - $150,000 with the opportunity for incentive compensation including a bonus. Salary may vary based on work experience, market conditions, location, and qualifications or training.
