Job Summary
Join a dynamic trading desk where your analytical skills and market awareness contribute to success in index trading. As an Analyst on the Single Stock Flow Trading desk, you will collaborate with sales and quantitative teams, oversee risk, and develop trading strategies within a fast paced environment. Job Responsibilities
- Assist in pricing trades and executing orders from clients and internal trading desks
- Assist in managing risk and evaluating positions and performance under various scenarios
- Learn to identify trading opportunities and develop new trading strategies for the desk and clients
- Respond to Middle Office emails, including T plus 1 trade inquiries and corporate actions
- Monitor market flows to assess incoming inquiries and provide context to sales
- Work with the Quant team to administer Robo trader for pricing and hedging
- Perform routine book maintenance such as closing pins and handling early exercise
- Assist in running and investigating daily P and L in coordination with Middle Office and IT
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Attention to detail and the ability to quickly learn the business
- Solid understanding of financial markets and the curiosity to explain market moves
- Strong analytical and technical background for pricing derivative products
- Advanced Excel and VBA skills to develop spreadsheet solutions for the business
- Ability to follow pre established desk procedures around risk, pricing, P and L, and execution
- Provide accurate responses and feedback on day to day activities with complete transparency
- Strong communication skills to discuss orders, executions, and market activity with clients
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience in single stock trading or derivatives markets
- Familiarity with trading systems and automation tools
- Experience collaborating with sales, quant, and middle office teams
- Strong problem solving and multitasking abilities
Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive total rewards package including base salary determined by the role, experience, skill set, and location. Eligible roles may include commission based pay and or discretionary incentive compensation, paid in cash and or forfeitable equity, awarded for individual achievements and contributions.
