This senior advisory position focuses on delivering high quality financial guidance, strengthening client relationships, and expanding advisory capabilities within T. Rowe Price's retail Advisory Services. The role is onsite in Owings Mills, MD with a hybrid work arrangement available.
Responsibilities
- Implements and develops advisory solutions for assigned clients and coordinates internal resources necessary to carry out solutions.
- Prepares financial plans for pre-retirees and retirees, advising in asset allocation, spending and savings plans, Social Security strategies, and related areas.
- Stays current on market events and serves as a Subject Matter Expert on various planning topics to educate advisory clients and prospects.
- Contributes suggestions for program upgrades and may participate in the development of future enhancements; may assist in rolling out new capabilities related to investment advice, financial planning, and financial education.
- Identifies areas for improvement, evaluates existing policy, and partners with peers and management to propose changes.
- May assist with development and implementation within the department.
- Responsible for client satisfaction regarding complex solutions managed by Advisory Services for assigned clients and maintains and deepens client relationships through consultative, personalized support and recommendations.
- Works directly with less experienced peers to determine the best approach to rectify a client's dissatisfaction.
- Works with clients to determine their appetite for risk and how that aligns with different advice solutions, ensuring that implemented solutions are compliant; may resolve standard risk or compliance issues with guidance from more senior staff.
- May have limited supervisory responsibilities for a small number of advisory staff, guiding their work, providing feedback, and evaluating performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience, plus 5+ years of total relevant work experience
- Previous success in building relationships, uncovering needs, and recommending solutions
- Demonstrated organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- FINRA Series 7 and 66, or 63/65, licenses upon hire

Work Flexibility

Base Salary Ranges
Base salary ranges by location are as follows: $98,500 to $146,000 for Maryland, Colorado, Washington and remote workers; $98,500 to $146,000 for Washington, DC; and $98,500 to $146,000 for New York and California. Placement within the range is based on relevant experience and skills. Base salary is only one component of total compensation; employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus determined by company and individual performance.
