Vice President of Finance

Role Overview

We are seeking a Vice President of Finance / Head of Finance to guide the financial strategy and infrastructure for a rapidly growing, mission driven organization. The role collaborates with the CEO and the leadership team to build robust financial models, manage financial operations, and steer strategic growth as the company expands nationally. This is a hands on leadership position for someone who thrives in a startup environment and is comfortable juggling multiple financial disciplines, from planning and modeling to overseeing accounting and building scalable financial systems. The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking with operational execution, supporting fundraising, guiding key financial decisions, and establishing a solid foundation for long term growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) - Build and maintain detailed financial models and forecasts; lead budgeting, forecasting, and long term financial planning; analyze revenue growth, margins, and operational performance; provide insights to guide strategic decisions.
• Financial Modeling and Strategic Finance - Develop financial projections and growth models; analyze unit economics, margins, and cost structure; support expansion planning including new markets and partnerships; prepare financial scenarios for strategic initiatives.
• Capital Strategy and Cash Management - Manage cash flow, runway, and capital planning; build models for fundraising and growth scenarios; support leadership with capital strategy and financing decisions; develop dashboards to track burn rate, margins, and financial performance.
• Accounting and Financial Operations - Oversee day to day financial operations and accounting processes; ensure accurate financial reporting and controls; manage financial systems, reporting tools, and dashboards; coordinate with external accountants, tax advisors, and auditors.
• Fundraising and Investor Support - Support fundraising efforts through financial modeling and investor materials; prepare financial reports and summaries for leadership and investors; maintain organized financial data for diligence processes.
• Leadership and Team Development - Build and grow the finance function as the company scales; partner with leadership to develop department budgets and financial plans; implement processes and systems that support national growth.

Ideal Candidate

• 5+ years of experience in finance, FP&A, accounting, or strategic finance
• Strong expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and financial planning
• Experience working in startup or high growth environments
• Experience supporting multi-state operations or nationally scaling companies
• Comfortable building financial systems and processes from the ground up
• Strategic thinker with strong analytical ability
• Ability to communicate financial insights to non-financial leaders
• Comfortable wearing multiple financial hats in a fast moving environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting venture funding or investor reporting
• Experience with multi-state expansion, marketplace models, or home services businesses
• CPA or MBA is a plus

Compensation and Location

Pay: $89,358.18 - $107,614.15 per year
