Candidate Search
Basin Street is seeking a senior investment analyst to join our Reno, Nevada or Sacramento, California office. We are a real estate focused private equity firm with a successful 50 plus year history. Our current portfolio holds more than $1 billion in assets and is expanding. Our investment strategy centers on value‑add acquisitions as well as ground‑up development, and we seek a self‑driven team player who can help grow the portfolio. The role blends portfolio management with investment analysis, and the ideal candidate will be highly motivated, organized, diligent, creative, and maintain a polished, professional demeanor.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models analyzing asset specific and portfolio wide NOI, cash flow, and valuation.
- Assist in preparing and executing property and partnership business plans.
- Support debt financing for acquisitions and refinances within existing partnerships.
- Provide ad hoc analysis and support for acquisitions, repositionings, and dispositions.
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting requirements for internal stakeholders and investors.
- Serve as a finance liaison between Leasing, Property Management, and Accounting to improve internal processes and ensure accurate, timely data.
- Develop and maintain a financial ecosystem across multiple systems: SQL, Power BI, Excel, ARGUS, and Yardi.
- Review property financials, rent rolls, and related reports.
- Ability to complete tasks ranging in difficulty with minimal instruction or oversight.
- Provide additional analytical support throughout the organization with an emphasis on accuracy and process improvement.
Qualifications
- A highly motivated, detail‑oriented, organized, diligent, and creative self‑starter with focus.
- Excellent Excel skills and strong proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, etc.).
- Proficiency with ARGUS Enterprise.
- General computer proficiency and strong computer skills. Knowledge of Yardi, SQL, and VBA is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, including speaking, listening, and writing with accuracy in spelling and grammar.
- Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times.
- Polished and professional demeanor.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Finance, Economics, or Accounting.
- Minimum 3–5 years of analyst experience in Commercial Real Estate or related field.
Other Information
- Exempt position.
- Not a supervisory role.
- Full‑time position, Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Must legally be allowed to work in the United States.

Compensation and Benefits
Pay range: $90,000.00 – $120,000.00 per year.

Location and Work Schedule
Location: Hybrid remote arrangement based in Reno, Nevada 89501, with consideration for Sacramento, California. This is a full‑time position with a Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The role is on site, and applicants should be able to commute to Reno 89501 as required. Shift preference is Day Shift.
Education and Experience Details
Educational requirements include a Bachelor’s degree (required). Experience expectations include Commercial Real Estate experience of at least 3 years (preferred).
