This entry-level Financial Consultant role, based onsite in Des Moines, IA, centers on educating clients about retirement and investment needs, identifying opportunities, and supporting related transactions. The position requires a Series 7 and either Series 66 or a 63/65 license, a bachelor’s degree, and at least two years of experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide guidance on benefit events for former participants, individuals in Personal Retirement Accounts, or those approaching a benefit event, including asset retention and offering additional product solutions.
- Educate and assist current and prospective clients interested in their personal investment and risk management needs; facilitate requested transactions or refer to another team when appropriate.
- Identify current or potential needs of retail customers.
- Perform other job-related duties and projects as needed.
Requirements
- Active Series 7 and Series 66 or 63/65 licenses
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent plus at least two years of experience, preferably in financial services
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to establish trust and rapport with customers over the phone
- Proficiency with desktop computer technology and digital communication mediums
- Detailed knowledge of retail investment products as well as employer-sponsored retirement plans
