Role overview

The Finance Business Partner for US General Medicines, covering Established Products and Medical Affairs, acts as a key finance ally, steering financial management and performance analysis for the US GenMed EP and Medical Affairs teams. The role enables data driven decision making and optimizes resource allocation across commercial and medical operations. The ideal candidate is proactive, analytical, and business minded, thriving in a complex, matrixed environment. As a trusted advisor, you will partner with Marketing, Go-To-Market Capabilities, Patient Support Services, Market Access, Procurement, and Medical Affairs, translating financial insights into actionable actions that support our patient focused mission. You will also champion an AI first approach, leveraging Sanofi's digital tools and platforms to enhance analytics, automate processes, and deliver faster, more insightful financial intelligence.

Main responsibilities

  • Business partnership: Lead the financial partnership for US GenMeds Established Products and the Medical Affairs team. Provide insightful analysis and reporting to support informed decision making. Guide budgeting, forecasting, and investment evaluation processes. Optimize resource allocation and headcount planning and management.
  • Financial planning & analysis: Manage rolling forecast and key budget submissions. Leverage AI and digital platforms to simplify forecasting and reporting. Analyze performance against targets and communicate the key drivers to stakeholders. Proactively identify and manage portfolio risks and opportunities.
  • Reporting & close operations: Own month end close processes for Established Products and Medical Affairs P&Ls. Coordinate with Global, A2R, OpEx Hub, and other key teams. Ensure data quality, compliance, and internal controls.
  • Process optimization & systems: Serve as subject matter expert on key financial systems. Maintain relevant cost center hierarchies to enable efficient reporting and ensure data integrity. Champion AI led forecasting and analytics, and process simplification.

About you

Required qualifications

  • Four years of experience in business finance, with a focus on financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and performance management
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • AI and digital first mindset
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced, complex organizational environment
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred qualifications

  • MBA, MS, or relevant advanced degree
  • CMA, CPA, CGMA, or relevant professional designation
  • Knowledge of Sanofi processes, systems and control framework
  • Industry related experience
