Job Description
What is the opportunity?
This role provides proactive sales support to help clients utilize City National Bank’s cash management, foreign exchange, and commercial card solutions. You will own the onboarding, activation, and ongoing adoption of digital treasury solutions for complex clients, working with Treasury Management Sales Officers (TMSOs) to execute business priorities and enhance the client experience. Your responsibilities include acquiring new clients through targeted sales plans and advising existing clients on appropriate treasury services. You will also offer focused financial guidance and solutions to meet clients’ business goals while collaborating with the Commercial Financial Services team and colleagues across RBC Financial Group to strengthen loyalty and cultivate long term, profitable client relationships.
What will you do?
- Maintain a growth mindset to maximize client acquisition, expansion, and an exceptional client experience
- Serve as the single point of contact throughout the cash management end-to-end onboarding process, collaborating with TM internal partners and the relationship team, and following up with clients to ensure an outstanding experience
- Assist both internal and external clients with product and implementation questions; provide or coordinate technical support for product usage and functionality; respond to client requests regarding treasury management products and services
- Act as an escalation point for treasury management service issues, coordinating resolution for both internal and external clients
- Provide phone and onsite sales coverage, under the direction of the TMSO, for treasury management products and services within the assigned territory; assess client needs to recommend solutions that reduce costs or improve cash flow operations, and refer clients/prospects to the appropriate channels
- Assist the TMSO as a backup for onsite sales calls as schedule permits
- Attend treasury management sales and product meetings and contribute as appropriate; support sales objectives aligned with division goals
- Maintain positive relationships with all bank units by sharing product/service information and supporting business development and client retention efforts
- May attend regional or banking office meetings to present product/service information or conduct line officer training as scheduled
- Participate in special projects or task forces as requested
- Stay aware of market conditions and customer buying criteria; provide current information that informs the development and delivery of treasury management services
- Fully comply with Bank Operational and Credit policies, as well as regulatory requirements (for example BSA, KYC, CRA, Fair Lending Practices, Code of Conduct, etc.)
- Collaborate with TMSOs to educate clients on new or emerging issues affecting their business, offering unique, valuable industry, business, or market insights
- Work with TMSO to gather client insights through discovery to identify a broad range of solutions that anchor clients to RBC and increase share of wallet
- Assist TMSO and Relationship Managers in developing a coordinated client contact strategy to identify and meet future client needs
What do you need to succeed?
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
- Minimum 4 years of cash management sales experience in a financial services environment
- Minimum 2 years of experience in managing or supporting medium to large account relationships
Additional Qualifications
- Graduation from a four-year college or university with a discipline related to the duties of the position
- Knowledge of sales techniques and principles to effectively market treasury management services
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to gather, arrange, compile, interpret, analyze, summarize, and evaluate information to identify sales opportunities and propose actions
- Ability to set priorities, objectives, and goals

Compensation
Starting base salary: $87,027 to $138,965 per year. Exact compensation depends on skills, experience, and location. The role is eligible for bonus and/or commissions.
