Job Description

Role: Fraud Risk Group Manager. Location: Tampa, FL 33601. Primary Location: Jacksonville, Florida, United States.

Role overview

The USCC Customer Protection Group Manager will steer the development and enforcement of Digital Payment Fraud Policies to minimize losses on both new and existing accounts while reducing customer disruption. You will serve as the main liaison for Operations and Analytics, guiding initiatives based on the latest fraud defect analyses. You will also own fraud loss planning and forecasting processes and act as the primary contact with Risk and business leadership on projects affecting the Digital Payment space in Fraud.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end USCC Client Protection fraud standards and policies for Digital Payments (3DS, Mobile Wallets, and other defined areas)
  • Develop and implement effective root‑cause and lessons‑learned strategies to elevate the bank’s fraud risk oversight and execution
  • Review evolving fraud trends and communicate directional focus to the business, Operations and Analytics; ensure loss planning and forecasting reflect these trends
  • Identify emerging risks and outline potential Operational and Analytic improvements
  • Lead efforts to streamline Operational processes to enhance customer experience, improve fraud detection effectiveness, and reduce costs
  • Drive productivity improvements and tool enhancements to better identify fraud
  • Participate in cross‑functional teams to strengthen the Fraud Management process
  • Collaborate with Operational Risk, Internal Audit and Compliance, along with Control Standard and Process owners, to assess the effectiveness of fraud controls
  • Partner with Channel Policy, Operations, Analytics and Process Integration to ensure timely, comprehensive communication among partners and foster consistency and transparency
  • Understand internal and external systems and networks that influence authorization and fraud processes; ensure changes do not disrupt fraud or authorization activities and implement controls to mitigate risks
  • Work with Credit Policy and Risk to identify trends and reduce losses while minimizing customer impact

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of relevant experience
  • Significant experience in Operational Risk is essential; experience in other risk and control disciplines (credit, market) is a plus
  • Experience in Internal Audit or Financial Control is desirable
  • Beneficial expertise in Fraud Awareness and Risk Management, Operations and Systems (Information Security Standards, Vendor/Outsourcing Management and MCA Legal and Regulatory Compliance)
  • Experience managing a global operation in a complex environment with multiple teams
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Digital Payments experience is preferred; Mobile Wallet experience and 3DS/RSA experience are preferred

Education

Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience. Master’s degree preferred.
