Trilliant Food & Nutrition seeks a Brand Finance Manager to partner with its onsite team in Little Chute, Wisconsin. The role turns strategic plans into forecasts, delivers financial insight, and weighs trade-offs across the business unit to drive profitable growth and stronger operational performance.

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary finance partner for the business unit, collaborating closely with the BU Lead and functional leaders.
Provide financial analysis to inform pricing and margin decisions, trade spend and promotional effectiveness, and the profitability of customers, channels, and products, as well as inventory management.
Identify key cost drivers across materials, labor, overhead, and logistics.
Partner cross-functionally to identify drivers behind forecasts, variances, costs, and productivity to strengthen insights and future forecasting.
Support the evaluation of new initiatives, business cases, and growth opportunities.
Lead the BU’s annual budget, rolling forecast, and periodic outlook updates.
Prepare and explain monthly financial results, including variance analysis vs. budget/forecast and highlighting cost drivers and trends; support monthly business reviews with risks, opportunities, and recommended actions.
Help improve forecast accuracy and financial transparency for the BU.
Act as the finance lead for the BU in the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process, partnering with Demand Planning, Supply Planning, and Production, Materials, and Resource (PMR) planning.
Translate demand and supply scenarios into financial impacts such as revenue, margin, inventory, and net working capital implications.
Support scenario planning by quantifying tradeoffs related to capacity, service levels, inventory positioning, and cost and margin impacts.
Provide financial input and validation during IBP meetings to support fact-based decision-making, balancing margin and liquidity.
Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Operations to understand volume, mix, pricing, and end-to-end cost drivers.
Analyze manufacturing and supply chain impacts on BU financial performance.
Support continuous improvement initiatives by quantifying financial benefits tied to cost reduction, productivity, and efficiency efforts.
Track and report key KPIs, ensuring insights are clear, relevant, and actionable.
Develop and maintain financial models and reporting tools to support BU decision-making.
Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, data quality, and reporting efficiency.
Ensure alignment with finance policies, controls, and standard processes.
Work cross-functionally to ensure financial implications are understood and considered in BU decisions.
Clearly communicate financial information to non-finance stakeholders in a practical, business-focused way.
Escalate key risks or issues to finance leadership as appropriate.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
5–7 years of progressive experience in accounting/FP&A supporting a CPG brand, BU, or scaled manufacturing platform.
Proven experience managing and analyzing the full P&L from gross sales to net revenue, with deep exposure to gross-to-net drivers, cost accounting, inventory and working capital management, and margin analysis.
Strong track record partnering cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Operations, Cost Accounting, and Supply Chain to support forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, profitability initiatives, and inventory management.
Solid analytical and financial modeling skills; advanced Excel proficiency and modeling capabilities are essential.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

Role Purpose

The role also leads capital finance and debt oversight activities when needed, manages the OBMS contract and prioritizes finance system projects and modules, and maintains a small assigned LEA portfolio to support escalations and continuity during critical deadlines.

How This Role Is Executed

Supervise and support a team delivering statewide finance analyses, reporting products, dashboards, and data quality checks; set priorities and timelines; review and approve final work products.
Oversee statewide funded run and SEG methods and outputs; validate assumptions and summarize impacts for Finance and Operations leadership.
Lead the annual mill levy and tax rate setting process, including statewide data verification, reconciliation, documentation, and issue resolution.
Provide leadership for capital finance and debt oversight activities as needed, such as bonding capacity certifications, refinances/defeasances, and validating principal and interest payment data.
Coordinate financial interventions or takeovers when state-directed fiscal management is required.
Own the OBMS contract and finance system roadmap: gather business needs, prioritize projects and modules across the agency, coordinate with IT and vendors, and support testing and rollout.
Lead alignment of UCoA/PSAB and federal crosswalk/allowability controls to support consistent reporting and prevent invalid coding combinations.

Ideal Candidate

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in business administration, economics, accounting, finance, or auditing, and six (6) years of experience in accounting, business administration, public administration, finance, or auditing, including two (2) years of managerial or supervisory experience.
Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling ten (10) years may substitute for the required education and experience.
Any required licensure, certification or registration shall be defined at the time of recruitment and will be in addition to the above requirements.
