Position Summary

The Finance Manager is responsible for providing comprehensive financial analysis, reporting, and presentation support that enables leadership operational teams to make informed business decisions. This role develops accurate and timely financial reports, prepares clear presentations, and delivers actionable insights that highlight key trends, risks, and opportunities. A key aspect of this role is supporting Medicare SCOE by ensuring transparency and timely delivery of financial reporting while providing financial insights that guide strategic decision-making and operational excellence. You will be expected to exhibit a high degree of flexibility in response to changing business demands, willingly assuming new or expanded responsibilities to support organizational growth and transformation. This position partners with cross-functional teams to deliver meaningful financial insights, ensure data accuracy, and support both short-term performance needs and long-term strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Serve as the primary liaison between finance, SCOE operations, and other internal and external teams. Address all inquiries related to budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes, ensuring clear communication and effective resolution of issues.
  • Contract Governance: Serve as the process owner, ensuring contracts are in compliance with budgetary constraints. Regularly review and optimize contract processes to facilitate timely approvals and minimize delays.
  • Month-end Close: Review the month-end close process by collaborating closely with Cost Center Managers; This entails reviewing AP expenses, accrual bookings and variance commentary.
  • Financial Reporting: Develop, prepare, and distribute detailed monthly and quarterly financial reports that analyze month-end variances. This includes summarizing actual spend, headcount, T&E, and B&E. Identifies root causes of variances, highlight trends and anomalies and present actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Forecasting and Planning: Engage with various internal teams members to ensure all cost centers quarterly and annual forecasts are adequately funded in accordance with rate/volume and strategic changes.
  • Financial Modeling: Provides oversight of existing financial models and dashboards; works to continuously underwrite the quality of that reporting and its sources of data. Proactive about implementing new and or enhancing current expense business models to help guide future decisions.
  • Investment Business Cases & Ad hoc Request: Collaborate with internal stakeholders in the development and assessment of cost and benefit projections. Provides detailed research and analytical support to validate the accuracy and reasonableness of assumptions.

Required Qualifications

  • 5 plus years of experience in Accounting & Finance
  • 5 plus years of experience managing large budgets +$250M
  • 5 plus years of experience supporting senior level leadership
  • 5 plus years of experience performing data analytics
  • 5 plus years of experience reporting financial results to internal stakeholders (budget vs actual variances)

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is: $66,330.00 - $145,860.00. This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
