Overview
This role at First Citizens Bank is based in San Francisco, CA 94105 and focuses on building and expanding relationships with emerging High Net Worth clients and prospects in the innovation economy. You will provide personalized guidance and ongoing relationship management, with client opportunities generated through online inquiries and internal partnerships. The position uses a planning-based approach to clearly understand client needs and deliver timely insights to support sound financial decisions. As needs are identified, you will work with a team of Wealth experts to offer investment, insurance, credit, and banking solutions. As relationships grow, you will collaborate with Commercial Bankers and Wealth Consultants to ensure a seamless transition to the local High Net Worth team.
Responsibilities
- Performance – Drive financial results and client experience standards aligned with defined metrics and goals. Engage with both existing clients and prospects through steady outreach, completing sales activities that create value for clients and the bank. Through consultative discovery, ensure conversations address short- and long-term goals within a planning framework. Integrate key partners into the client relationship as opportunities are identified.
- Client Experience – Maintain ongoing outreach and relationship management activities to deliver an exceptional client experience, provide timely guidance based on the life stage, and help clients achieve financial wellness. Take prompt action to address service needs and look for solutions to enhance the experience based on client preferences and goals.
- Partnerships – Maintain strong working relationships with internal partners and key stakeholders to deliver the firm’s full capabilities.
- Compliance and Operations – Comply with all Bank and Wealth regulations, policies, and procedures to manage risk related to credit, operational, regulatory, reputational, legal, and financial exposure. Complete required training by established deadlines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of experience in Financial Services relationship management, banking, Private Banking or Wealth Management experience OR High School Diploma or GED and 8 years of experience in Financial Services relationship management, banking, Private Banking or Wealth Management experience.
- License or Certification Type: Valid Series 7, 63 and 65 or 66 licenses required, valid state insurance licenses required, valid NMLS registration required.
- Skill(s): Client Relationship Management, Structured Sales Process, Knowledge of Banking and Securities Products and Services, Financial Planning, Credit Underwriting, Business Development.
Compensation
For candidates hired in California, the base pay for this position generally ranges from $110,000 to $180,000. The actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non discriminatory factors permitted by law. In some cases, total compensation may include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other awards as outlined in the offer of employment.
