Position Responsibilities

Conducts loan interviews, collects required underwriting documents, and analyzes data to approve or deny loan requests.

Sets up and maintains automatic payments including ACH origination, ACH deductions, and automatic transfers.

Analyzes credit reports and provides financial education to applicants.
Maintains existing loans, performing payment reversals, due date adjustments, updates to automatic payments, and skip payments.
Submits all documents to various agencies to ensure proper lien filings and accurate recording of real estate documents, returning them to Vocal.
Opens new member accounts and actively cross sells credit union products and services.
Maintains existing accounts, including updates to joint owners and beneficiaries, changes to address and contact information, online banking password resets, and obtaining updated identification.
Keeps the work area clean, well maintained, and secure at all times.

Marginal Functions

May perform Notary services.
Maintain loan vault, organizing paper documents for record retention and disposing of documents that have reached record retention maturity.
May serve as a backup Loan Processor.
Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training in financial services, bookkeeping, or accounting is required.
At least two years of prior similar customer service experience; prior credit union experience may be preferred.
Strong emphasis on sales and public relations skills; professional business attire and presentation required.
Ability to conduct member interviews within regulatory guidelines, assist members in accurate completion of product applications, perform basic analysis of member needs, and provide initial recommendations and basic financial services counseling.
After hire, complete all required E-training coursework as outlined by credit union procedures within defined timeframes; continuous skill upgrading, including suggested completion of other E-training modules, may be required at management’s discretion.
In the first 90 days, develop extensive knowledge of Credit Union policies and internal procedures to function effectively.

Capital One’s Underwriting and Portfolio Management team leads the assessment of new loan opportunities and the ongoing management of our loan portfolio. These entities originate entity-level unsecured loans, such as facilities backed by unencumbered asset pools, within Commercial Real Estate.

As an Analyst in Underwriting & Portfolio Management, you will operate with a high degree of independence, moving beyond the basics of credit risk management. In addition to identifying risks and mitigants, you will begin spotting trends or anomalies on individual deals or within the portfolio and escalate as appropriate.

Responsibilities

Conduct industry and company due diligence, synthesize findings, and may lead due diligence calls with clients and/or legal counsel.
Perform thorough financial analysis, identify discrepancies and risks, and propose creative risk mitigation strategies.
Develop financial/cash flow modeling inputs with minimal guidance; understand model mechanics and consider overrides or exceptions.
Evaluate structuring options based on collateral and borrower valuation.

Role Overview

The Associate -or- Senior Associate, Fund Financial Operations is a vital member of Corporate Finance's Fund Financial Operations (FFO) team. The role centers on delivering quarterly investor reports for sponsored commingled funds and separate account vehicles, as well as handling recurring and ad-hoc operational and financial data requests from current and prospective investors and the consulting community. The position ensures investors receive accurate, timely, and courteous information, and supports other teams with data to aid firm operations.

Key Responsibilities

Act as the primary communication point between the firm and investors for their respective commingled funds and/or separate accounts.
Review Fund Financial Statements, fees, and carried-interest calculations prepared by the Fund Administrator.
Address recurring and ad-hoc investor and consultant inquiries, surveys, and questionnaires related to operational and financial information; interpret requests, coordinate data collection across teams, and deliver the required disclosures with consistency and proper disclosures.
Produce quarterly investor reports in Workiva by collaborating closely with Portfolio Management, Fund Administrator, Asset Management, and other teams to assemble and process operational and financial data required for disclosure.
Assist with reviewing capital calls, distributions, and other investor communications.

Requirements
