Analyst, Specialty Underwriting & Portfolio Manager - REIT
Job Description
Overview
Capital One’s Underwriting and Portfolio Management team leads the assessment of new loan opportunities and the ongoing management of our loan portfolio. The group collaborates with internal partners and external stakeholders to support the growth of Commercial Real Estate while maintaining a scalable, well-governed business. This role supports the Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) and/or Real Estate Investment Funds (REIF) activities, including private funds, non-traded REITs, and publicly-traded REITs. These entities originate entity-level unsecured loans, such as facilities backed by unencumbered asset pools, within Commercial Real Estate.
As an Analyst in Underwriting & Portfolio Management, you will operate with a high degree of independence, moving beyond the basics of credit risk management. In addition to identifying risks and mitigants, you will begin spotting trends or anomalies on individual deals or within the portfolio and escalate as appropriate.
