Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to strengthen our finance team. In this key role, you will oversee complex accounting functions, ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, and deliver insightful financial analysis to guide strategic decisions. Duties

Lead the preparation and review of financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards), ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Oversee general ledger activities, including account reconciliation, journal entries, and month-end and year-end close processes.
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable to ensure timely processing in line with company policies.
Perform balance sheet reconciliations regularly to verify data accuracy and promptly resolve discrepancies.
Prepare regulatory reports and support external audits by providing detailed documentation and explanations of financial data.
Implement and maintain internal controls aligned with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) compliance to protect company assets.
Carry out cash management duties, including forecasting cash flow needs, monitoring bank transactions, and optimizing liquidity.
Support budgeting processes through financial analysis, variance analysis, and forecasting to assist strategic planning.
Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar platforms to streamline financial operations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on technical accounting issues related to nonprofit accounting, governmental accounting, or public accounting standards as needed.
Prepare comprehensive financial reports that clearly communicate findings and support decision-making across the organization.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification is preferred.
Extensive experience in corporate accounting with strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, SOX compliance, and regulatory reporting standards.
Proven expertise in general ledger reconciliation, account analysis, double-entry bookkeeping, and related processes.
Hands-on experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar platforms; proficiency in financial management tools is essential.
Knowledge of nonprofit accounting principles and governmental accounting practices is highly desirable.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data accurately and efficiently.
Excellent communication skills for preparing detailed financial reports and collaborating across departments.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
