Job Description

R&T Water District seeks a capable Business Manager to oversee its financial operations and policy implementation. This full-time role integrates accounting, budgeting, payroll, human resources coordination, and board reporting, all performed on-site at the district's Ray, ND water plant. The position offers a salary range of USD 70,000 to 85,000 per year and requires an Associate’s degree in Accounting/Business Management or at least two years of accounting experience.

Responsibilities

Financial records management using generally accepted accounting principles and procedures with an annual audit.
Supervise Administrative Assistant.
Coordinate and attend meetings, record and maintain minutes.
Responsible for accounting duties, including budgets, checks, deposits, journal entries, payroll, monthly, quarterly and annual reports.
Coordinate employee benefits and human resources.
Maintain rural water project records and website.

Requirements

Associate’s degree in Accounting/Business Management and/or a minimum of 2 years of accounting experience is required.
Must be proficient in Quickbooks.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.
Must be proficient in utility billing procedures.
Skilled in oral and written communication.
Pays close attention to detail and accuracy.
Punctual, meticulous and reliable.
Must be able to work unsupervised.
In-person only at the water plant located in Ray, ND.
