Job Description

Experienced Automotive Finance Manager position in Easton, MD (onsite) at Hertrich Family of Automobile Dealerships, with commission-based earnings potential.

Responsibilities

Oversee all financing tasks and paperwork tied to vehicle delivery
Drive profitability on each finance and insurance transaction
Build and maintain relationships with financial institutions to secure competitive rates and programs
Ensure timely deal completion by coordinating with lending partners
Maintain strict compliance with all legal and ethical standards throughout the financing process
Sell financing products and additional insurance offerings to customers
Develop new financing sources for vehicle purchase contracts
Collaborate with the Sales Desk to achieve dealership objectives
Lead a smooth and efficient workflow in the finance office
Maintain a balanced lender mix and consistently hit monthly goals

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of Automotive F&I management experience
Proven ability to deliver $1,000+ per unit in financed deals (if applicable)
Stable career history with previous employers
Customer-focused, self-motivated team player with strong communication skills
Ability to meet and maintain all state and federal licensing requirements for the position
Proficiency with MS Windows and dealership computer systems
DealerTrack experience is a plus
High School Diploma or GED required

Job Description

Role Overview

A manufacturing organization is seeking an FP&A Manager to join the team as an individual contributor. You will support financial planning, forecasting, and business decision-making. You will partner closely with operations and accounting, leveraging strong SAP experience and a solid foundation in general accounting to drive financial insight, discipline, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate is analytical and collaborative, comfortable challenging assumptions, and able to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the annual budgeting, rolling forecast, and long-range planning processes
Develop and maintain financial models supporting operational planning, capital projects, and strategic initiatives
Analyze monthly financial results, including variance analysis versus budget and forecast
Prepare management reports, KPIs, and dashboards for senior leadership

Qualifications

Must Haves

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
Manufacturing or industrial environment experience
5-8+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or related roles
Hands-on experience with SAP (required)
Strong understanding of GAAP, financial statements, and close processes
Advanced Excel skills with experience in financial modeling and analysis
Ability to communicate financial insights clearly to both financial and non-financial stakeholders

Nice to Haves

MBA, CPA, CMA, or similar credentials

Systems and Process Improvement

Utilize SAP (FI/CO and related reporting tools) to support forecasting, reporting, and analysis
Partner with Accounting and IT to enhance reporting, improve data integrity, and streamline FP&A processes
Drive continuous improvement in planning, reporting, and financial visibility

Accounting and Financial Controls

Apply strong general accounting knowledge to ensure alignment between FP&A and Accounting
Support the monthly close process, including accruals, account reviews, and financial statement analysis
Ensure forecasts and budgets align with actual accounting results
Assist with audits and internal control initiatives as needed
