Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and coach a team of Trust Officers and Senior Trust Officers to administer accounts in line with laws, regulations, and internal procedures.
Personally manage an assigned book of complex or high‑touch personal trust accounts.
Interpret governing documents to ensure each trust is administered per its terms, whether in the team’s book or individual assignments.
Maintain high client service levels by researching and responding promptly to registered investment advisors and trust beneficiaries, including escalations from team members.
Prepare and present discretionary memorandums for review and approval by the Discretionary Distributions Committee, while mentoring others in the process.
Generate Distribution Memorandums and other directed distribution documentation for review by Tax, Legal, and the Managing Director, guiding the team through the process.
Issue termination notices for terminating trusts to the Trust Administration Committee and handle related processes, mentoring team members on notice requirements.
Oversee proper administration and accounting for special asset inventory within the assigned accounts, coaching peers as needed.
Coordinate with Schwab business partners for client research and service enhancements, recommending system and procedural improvements.
Respond to initial inquiries from Schwab advisors, third party contacts, and private individuals about current and prospective trusts on assigned books or upon escalation.
Conduct Post Acceptance and Annual administrative account reviews for assigned accounts.
Participate in special projects as needed and provide training and support to the Administrative Team in coordination with the Managing Director.

Requirements

Minimum 10 years of experience in personal trust administration.
Bachelor’s degree or higher; CTFA preferred, or equivalent work experience.
Solid knowledge of trust administration principles; practical experience with Delaware‑law governed trusts is a plus.
Strong organizational abilities with the capacity to manage multiple priorities while maintaining quality and accuracy.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of conveying information clearly to diverse stakeholders.
Highly motivated self-starter with a proactive approach to problem solving.

Overview

Wealth Management — Private Bank is seeking a Lending Professional, Analyst to partner with clients in aligning credit needs with the bank’s broad suite of solutions. The role emphasizes a long-term, cyclical approach to ensure clients are supported through all market conditions. You will collaborate with a team of professionals to originate and manage a diverse portfolio of credit facilities, acting as the primary owner for portfolio maintenance to guarantee timely client service and proactive risk identification.

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary owner of the existing loan portfolio while handling various sales-management activities.
Lead portfolio review meetings and prioritize workloads for Lending Advisors and Credit partners between ongoing portfolio maintenance and new activity from Lending Advisor.
Work directly with clients, internal Middle Office teams, and required third parties (Family office representatives, notaries, couriers, and borrowers counsel) to drive deal progression and subsequent loan funding, delivering an exceptional client experience.
Prioritize and own risk exceptions (e.g., covenants, payment delinquencies, missing legal documents) to maintain the health and profitability of the regional loan portfolio.
Identify and navigate prerequisites for each lending solution (e.g., facilities backed by securities, private/restricted stock, commercial real estate, life insurance, art, aircraft) during credit risk and legal processes to deliver these solutions to clients.
Monitor loan portfolio health and provide discretionary approval when appropriate to resolve billing inquiries; lead escalations and collaborate with Client Service Groups to address credit-related service inquiries.
Direct the loan document quality-control process with internal and external JPM counsel to ensure final documents reflect the deal structure; coordinate with Credit Risk Management and Lending Specialist as needed.
Support initiatives from Lending Solutions Business Management related to regulatory, industry, and legal changes to evolve the business and ensure compliance.
Collaborate with integrated team members to analyze client financials required for loan requests or to resolve existing portfolio liquidity exceptions.
Coordinate modification and/or renewal of existing credit facilities with the client and credit risk management.
Partner with the Lending Advisor on various research inquiries and reporting tasks.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

Two years of experience in Wealth Management.
Solid understanding of legal documentation and experience coordinating commercial real estate transactions and/or loan closings.
Proactive self-starter with the ability to work with limited supervision and provide leverage for the team.
Ability to navigate bank systems under tight timelines and deadlines.
Good judgment and discretion when handling highly confidential information.
Superior multitasking and organizational skills.
Proven sales and client relationship management capabilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe PDF.
