Job Description

Unity Search LLC invites applications for an Interim Senior Accountant to bolster the accounting team during a period of increased workload and ongoing process improvement initiatives. The role emphasizes payroll accounting, full-cycle accounting, and royalty accounting, with a focus on streamlining financial reporting and the close process.

Responsibilities

Support payroll accounting across multiple employee groups (hourly, salaried, and union)
Perform full-cycle accounting, including journal entries and account reconciliations
Assist with month-end close activities and ensure accuracy of financial reporting
Help standardize reporting processes and improve workflow efficiency
Maintain and clean up balance sheet and general ledger accounts
Support ad hoc accounting projects, including royalty accounting (nice to have)

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in accounting; CPA preferred
5–10+ years of accounting experience
Strong payroll accounting experience (required)
Full-cycle accounting
Month-end close
Reconciliations
Experience working with multiple employee types and a process improvement mindset

Location

Hybrid remote in Fort Worth, TX (hybrid)
Work location: In person

Compensation

Hourly rate: USD 45 - 65 per hour
