Overview
Based in George, IA, the Wealth Manager will serve as a full-spectrum financial advisor for high-net-worth clients, providing expert guidance across savings, investments, estate planning, and fiduciary services. The role prioritizes investment advisory and portfolio management, including both local and offshore holdings. You will deliver comprehensive financial planning and investment guidance to high-income clients, and develop proposals covering investment planning, estate planning, cash management, and risk management. You will also manage and grow a client portfolio with assets under management of R300 million or more.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive financial planning and investment guidance to high-net-worth clients, formulating proposals in investment planning, estate planning, cash management, and risk needs.
- Manage and grow a client portfolio with assets under management of R300 million or more.
- Conduct regular reviews of client financial plans, adapting to life changes, market trends, and economic shifts.
- Monitor financial market trends to ensure client plans remain responsive and relevant.
- Evaluate available investment opportunities to determine alignment with client financial plans.
- Analyze client financial information to develop financial plans or proposals using appropriate tools.
- Support business decisions by providing accurate and reliable business intelligence, including trend and data analysis.
- Collect and organize information to review work progress, contributing to reporting, decision-making, and identifying improvement opportunities.
- Provide regular reports on service delivery against agreed service level agreements and overall customer targets.
- Ensure compliance with relevant statutory, legislative, policy, and governance requirements.
- Maintain expert knowledge of legislative amendments, industry best practices, and FNB’s internal compliance procedures, ensuring compliance is embedded in systems and procedures per standards.
- Implement and contribute to the development of governance and compliance processes, identifying and mitigating risks.
- Safeguard the optimal usage and protection of business assets.
- Achieve gross production and sales targets as indicated in scorecards.
- Identify opportunities to advise on FirstRand approved investment and risk products.
- Maintain expert knowledge of FirstRand approved products, including application procedures, processing, and timelines.
- Ensure high-quality, consistent advice aligned with FNB’s investment philosophy and product matrix.
- Act as an ambassador for FNB, upholding internal values and ethical standards.
- Contribute to maintaining a competitive edge through external networking, benchmarking, and representation in relevant forums.
- Develop networks and build alliances to strengthen internal support bases.
- Engage in cross-functional activities and collaborate across boundaries with diverse stakeholders.
- Maintain and build relationships for expectation management, knowledge sharing, and integration.
- Inform and educate clients on products and services to retain existing clients, increase revenue, and grow the customer base.
- Liaise with clients via approved communication channels in a positive and helpful manner.
- Support the resolution of client queries to ensure satisfaction and retention.
