The Abbass Agency, part of Northwestern Mutual, is inviting high‑performing individuals to join our Financial District office in New York City. This full‑time role is open to career‑changers, recent graduates, and motivated professionals who want to make a meaningful impact by helping clients achieve financial security. We work with individuals, families, and business owners to provide long‑term financial planning solutions, including insurance, investments, retirement planning, education planning, and more. Our financial advisers are trained to uncover opportunities and gaps that others may overlook, guiding clients to save and plan with confidence as life evolves. Each client receives a tailored plan designed to meet their unique needs.

Licensing and training

Compensation and benefits
This is a commission‑based career with some startup capital provided in the first year to help you get started. It is well suited for individuals seeking uncapped earning potential, autonomy, and a role that rewards performance.
- Training Bonus: Up to $3,500 upon completing training, based on timely onboarding tasks, individual metrics, and licensing requirements
- First‑Year Stipends & Bonuses: Up to $26,000 based on weekly activity metrics and an additional $29,000 in bonuses based on incentives during the first year
- Commissions: Uncapped earning potential with enhanced commissions during the first few years

Background and training information
No finance background is required. We provide in‑depth, nationally ranked training and support, pairing you with industry experts until you are ready to operate independently. We are looking for individuals with a track record of success in their career, participation in college athletics, or military experience. Those who tend to thrive typically have prior sales or business development experience, strong interpersonal skills, grit, motivation, and clear goal orientation. You will begin as a financial representative while achieving required designations and work toward becoming a financial advisor. 83% of our advisors have no prior finance background.
