As a Private Banker in the U.S. Private Bank, you will advise families on building, preserving and managing wealth, applying your knowledge of investments, financial planning, credit and banking to guide current clients and generate new business. You will be part of a local team supported by an institutional platform that provides the resources, specialists and intellectual capital to help clients reach their goals.
Responsibilities
- Manage and nurture client relationships by earning trust, understanding needs, delivering targeted advice, crafting thoughtful solutions and delivering an exceptional client experience.
- Drive business results and grow assets from both existing clients and new acquisitions.
- Advise clients on their overall balance sheet, including asset allocation, investment management, wealth planning, and banking and credit needs.
- Collaborate with internal specialists to provide interdisciplinary expertise when required.
- Connect clients across all lines of business at J.P. Morgan Chase & Co.
- Ensure proposed solutions meet clients' short, medium and long term objectives using a holistic, goals-based planning approach.
- Strictly adhere to risk and control policies, regulatory guidelines and security measures.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Three or more years of experience in private banking or financial services.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Series 7 and Series 66 licenses required for the position; unlicensed candidates may be considered but must obtain licenses within 90 days of start date.
- Proven sales success and strong business acumen.
- Robust community presence with an established network.
- Experience or understanding of investments, wealth planning, credit and banking concepts.
- Client-focused, with tireless dedication to the client experience.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- MBA, JD, CFA, or CFP preferred.
- Proactive, takes initiative and uses critical thinking to solve problems.
- Dynamic and credible professional with clear communication and exceptional presentation skills.
- Strong organizational skills and a disciplined approach to business.
- Experience with equity and fixed income markets and knowledge of alternative investments, including hedge funds, private equity and real estate.

Compensation and benefits
We offer a competitive total rewards package including base salary determined by the role, experience, skill set and location.
