Role Overview
In the Centralized Service & Operations group, this Sr. Specialist, Service Associate role supports Schwab Wealth Advisory clients on a client-facing inbound phone team. You will leverage your growing expertise to deliver consistent, high-quality service. Through mentorship, coaching, and ongoing training, you will build a solid foundation in wealth management, serving as a subject matter expert with clients while providing technical assistance and placing solicited trades. You will strengthen client relationships by addressing questions about portfolio management, financial planning, and the markets and economy. This position offers a clear path toward becoming a Wealth Advisor, reflecting Schwab's emphasis on development and contribution to the Schwab Wealth Advisory Investment strategy.
What you have
Required Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree required
- Active and valid FINRA Series 7 license required
- Active and valid FINRA 66 license required (may be obtained with a 120-day COE)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the financial services industry working directly with clients
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience servicing high-net-worth clients
- General understanding of brokerage regulations and rules that govern client accounts
- Demonstrated experience handling client concerns and issues with tact and diplomacy
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team, while handling multiple tasks and responsibilities simultaneously
- Ability to build and maintain good cross departmental working relationships
