Senior Trust Operations Officer

Overview

In this Senior Trust Operations Officer role, you will manage a portfolio of trust accounts and provide expert guidance across generations, contributing to a team that values enduring relationships and exceptional client service.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the administration and servicing of trust accounts, including openings, funding, ongoing maintenance, annual reviews, discretionary distribution evaluations, and interpretation of governing documents such as wills, trusts, and amendments.
• Cultivate strong relationships with clients, their advisors, attorneys, and internal partners.
• Develop new client relationships, identify opportunities within the community, and promote the bank's full range of financial services.
• Support estate settlements by coordinating with attorneys and accountants, reviewing documents, approving expenses, facilitating tax preparation materials, and ensuring accurate and timely beneficiary distributions.
• Coordinate trust tax return preparation, review the returns, and assist in enhancing internal policies and procedures.
• Lead or contribute to key initiatives such as IRA program development, integration of financial planning, system conversions, and process improvements.
• Manage and supervise trust department staff, providing guidance, performance coaching and reviews, and operational leadership and training to ensure accurate administration of trust accounts and delivery of exceptional client service.
