Senior Trust Operations Officer

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of trust accounts from opening and funding to ongoing maintenance, annual reviews, discretionary distribution evaluations, and interpretation of governing documents such as wills, trusts, and amendments.
• Foster durable relationships with clients, their advisors, attorneys, and internal partners to ensure seamless service.
• Cultivate new client relationships, explore opportunities within the community, and promote the bank's comprehensive suite of financial services.
• Assist with estate settlements by coordinating with attorneys and CPAs, reviewing documents, approving expenses, assembling tax-related materials, and ensuring timely, accurate distributions to beneficiaries.
• Coordinate the preparation and review of trust tax returns, supporting enhancements to internal policies and procedures.
• Lead or participate in strategic initiatives, including IRA program development, integration with financial planning, system conversions, and process improvements.
• Oversee trust department staff, providing guidance, performance coaching, and reviews, and delivering operational leadership and training to ensure precise account administration and exceptional client service.
