Overview

Grow with us in the role of Senior Financial Analyst. This position blends strategic analysis with hands-on financial work and requires in person collaboration three days per week at our Santa Rosa, California location (95407). The goal is to track performance, interpret market and business conditions, develop forecasts, and advise senior leadership on actions that sustain profitability and financial health.

Responsibilities

  • Present financial information to municipal customers, respond to questions, and support negotiations on behalf of the Company.
  • Provide senior management with financial insights and presentations that inform decision making.
  • Prepare and analyze financial data, delivering recommendations to shape current and future performance.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support planning and analysis.
  • Submit monthly and quarterly reports to governmental agencies and manage agency correspondence to ensure compliance.
  • Execute ad hoc reports and analyses as requested.
  • Research and produce reports on topics such as rate of return, depreciation, working capital needs, investment opportunities, and the impact of governmental requirements.
  • Prepare and review daily, weekly, and monthly operating reports, including route analysis, shipping activity, processing line statistics, and recovery effectiveness.
  • Establish and manage databases for forecasting and planning, including tonnage models used in Rate Application processes.
  • Recommend cost saving or profitability improvement opportunities to management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of five years of relevant experience.
  • Strong analytical math skills and demonstrated experience performing financial analyses.
  • Awareness of current developments and trends in the field with emphasis on analytical finance work.
  • Solid understanding of technical and professional principles, practices, laws, applications, and programs in finance.
  • Proficiency in MS Office with intermediate to advanced Excel capabilities.
  • ERP experience, preferably JD Edwards.
  • High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • CFA or CPA preferred.

Location and Schedule

Hybrid work arrangement based in Santa Rosa, CA 95407. In-office presence required three days per week.
