Role Overview
As a Financial Representative with KMO – Northwestern Mutual, you will join a team dedicated to helping individuals and businesses reach their financial goals through personalized insurance solutions and strategic planning. This position focuses on building lasting client relationships, understanding each client’s unique needs, and delivering tailored financial guidance to secure their future.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with clients to understand their financial goals, aspirations, and concerns
- Develop comprehensive financial plans that cover investments, insurance, and retirement strategies
- Recommend and implement insurance solutions to protect clients’ assets and income
- Monitor and adjust client plans over time to accommodate changing circumstances
- Grow a professional network through referrals, community involvement, and associations
Qualifications and Licenses
- Education: Bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred or military equivalent
- Experience: Background in financial services, insurance, or business development is advantageous but not required
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, analytical thinking, and the ability to build trust with clients
- Licenses: Required licenses include Series 6 and 63, plus state insurance licenses (training and sponsorship are available)

Joey Scott, RICP, Financial Advisor and District Director

Began as a college intern and progressed to full-time financial advisor in 2018, building his practice in the Kansas City office and advancing into leadership roles focused on growth and development. Passionate about expanding his practice with the team, fostering long-term client relationships, and staying active with family and sports.
Anthony Gurera, Financial Advisor and Growth and Development Director
Time with Northwestern Mutual: since 2018. Began as an intern and became a full-time advisor after graduating from Rockhurst University with a Finance and Economics double major. Founder and leader of Priority Wealth Partners, overseeing client strategy, team operations, and practice management while supporting advisor recruiting and development across Northwestern Mutual Kansas and West Missouri.
