About the Financial Representative Role
As a Financial Representative with Northwestern Mutual, you will contribute to helping individuals and businesses reach their financial goals through customized insurance solutions and comprehensive financial planning. The role focuses on building long-term client relationships, assessing their needs, and delivering tailored financial strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Consultation: Engage with clients to understand financial goals, aspirations, and concerns
- Financial Planning: Create comprehensive plans covering investments, insurance, and retirement
- Insurance Solutions: Recommend and implement protection strategies for assets and income
- Ongoing Support: Monitor and adjust plans as clients' circumstances change
- Networking: Grow a client base through referrals, community involvement, and professional associations
Qualifications
- Education: A bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field is preferred
- Experience: Prior work in financial services, insurance, or business development is beneficial but not required
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, analytical thinking, and the capacity to build trust with clients
Licenses and Certifications
- Licenses: Required licenses such as Series 6 and 63, plus state insurance licenses; training and sponsorship are available
