Job Description
Position Overview
Regions seeks a Real Estate Corporate Banking Associate to contribute to the design, origination, structuring, and execution of loan commitments, loan syndications, and capital markets products and services for existing and prospective REIT and Fund clients. The role supports client relationship development through research, industry trend monitoring, and strategic planning, including participation in client meetings, due diligence visits, and executive interactions. The associate collaborates across teams on credit and underwriting analyses, assists in coverage activities, and helps identify and mitigate risk in current and proposed credit products. You will analyze new real estate banking credit opportunities, underwrite renewals or new exposures, and manage a loan and credit relationship portfolio alongside the aligned manager.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assess client needs and translate Regions' products and services or actionable ideas to help clients reach their objectives.
- Build and maintain detailed financial models to value REIT and Fund companies and project future results.
- Collect and review financial statements, covenant compliance, and other segment deliverables to keep credit files current.
- Support senior bankers in relationship management, engage with current and prospective clients, analyze relationship profitability, and generate ideas to grow profitability.
- Maintain proprietary databases by tracking news, events, transactions, and financial information relevant to clients and prospects.
- Assist in preparing pitches, proposals, client materials, and related analyses with limited supervision.
- Prepare financial analyses for renewals or credit servicing documents and escalate risk findings to the Credit Products Specialist when needed.
- Coordinate between coverage and Credit Products teams to deliver fast, comprehensive, and creative banking solutions.
- Support both coverage and credit products in client prospecting, screening memos, underwriting, transaction closing, and portfolio management.
- Handle closing tasks including review of loan documents, drafting commitment letters and closing memos, and coordinating with fulfillment.
- Conduct ongoing monitoring such as benchmark testing, electronic credit file maintenance, and metric analysis.
- Validate risk ratings and, with oversight, identify rating changes in partnership with Coverage and Credit Risk teams.
- Participate in the recruitment, development, training, and supervision of junior staff.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field with a track record of high achievement and three years of relevant work experience.
- Formal credit training.

- Master of Business Administration (MBA).

Compensation, Benefits, and Schedule
Position type: Full time. This role is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay. It is eligible to participate in discretionary incentive plans based on performance against defined metrics and goals.
Pay ranges are job specific and provided as a market reference for compensation decisions. Actual pay varies with experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, location, and performance.
Job Range Target: Minimum $94,012.38 USD; Median $125,307.00 USD.
