Overview

Deliver exceptional service and guidance to RMB High Net Worth Wealth clients on wealth creation, accumulation and protection strategies to support growth in the vertical sales index and to strengthen client retention through contextual Money Management principles.

RMB is a leading African Corporate and Investment Bank (CIB). We partner with clients to provide advisory, lending, trading, securities, corporate banking, private equity and investment solutions. Your part in the team

  • Achieve revenue and profit targets by growing your portfolio base and delivering independent, holistic advice and solutions that drive revenue growth.
  • Identify and leverage opportunities for revenue growth to meet sales targets.
  • Provide appropriate banking and financial solutions across an allocated portfolio of clients.
  • Identify local and offshore fiduciary opportunities and advise on client philanthropy.
  • Ensure compliance with legislative and audit requirements and adherence to relevant processes.
  • Build working relationships across teams and functional lines to enhance delivery, collaboration and innovation.
  • Develop, encourage and nurture collaborative relationships within RMB and across the First Rand Group (FRG).
  • Conduct client reviews within the context of engagements and market all financial services solutions within the relevant business offering.
  • Participate in planned activities that support your development.
  • Deliver customer experience excellence in service delivery aligned to organisational values and service standards.
  • Maintain high standards of internal and external customer service through quality service standards.
  • Prevent wastage and identify process improvements to contain and reduce costs.

Ideal candidate

  • Relevant NQF7 Level Degree in Finance, Economics or Accounting.
  • Completed RE5 qualification.
  • Preferred Qualification: Certified Financial Planner (CFP).
  • Experience: 3 to 5 years in Banking, Investment, Financial Planning, Wealth Management, and client facing environments.
  • Full understanding of money management principles.
  • Candidates must have sign-off on the following sub-categories: 1.3 Long-Term Insurance subcategory B1 1.4 Long-Term Insurance subcategory C 1.5 Retail Pension Benefits 1.14 Participatory Interests in a Collective Investment Scheme 1.17 Long-term Deposits 1.18 Short-term Deposits 1.22 Long-term Insurance subcategory B1-A.
  • Sound working knowledge of required business-related systems.
  • Sound knowledge of Banking and Financial Services Regulatory requirements.
  • Knowledge of wealth management creation and accumulation, wealth protection or risk knowledge.
  • Excellent project management skills and the ability to plan and organise work independently.
  • Proven track record in servicing a portfolio of clients and in acquiring new relationships.
  • Excellent knowledge of global financial markets and current affairs.
  • Ability to match client needs with appropriate product solutions.
  • Sound knowledge of the Bank's risk and other mandates to ensure good commercial judgment while representing the Bank's and the shareholders' interests always.
