Position Summary

We are currently seeking a dynamic Full-Time Personal Service Advisor to join our Credit Union family. This role will operate from the Palm Beach Gardens/Juno Beach Branch location but may assist at times with other branches as needed. The position encompasses a range of universal duties on both the Teller Line and the Platform, including accurately processing member account requests and transactions, performing day-to-day branch operations, promoting PFCU products and services, and adhering to BSA Compliance rules and regulations. You will process transactions accurately, balance daily activity, and maintain cash within approved limits. You will explain, promote, refer, and sell PFCU products and services, and serve as the first line of defense in preventing fraud while coordinating effectively with all PFCU partners to uphold the One Team, One Goal mindset.

What you will do

  • Provide superior member service by following PFCU member experience standards while complying with BSA and Compliance regulations, procedures, branch security, Teller Balancing guidelines, and all PFCU policies and procedures.
  • Ensure cash drawer, checks received, and transfers are balanced on a daily basis.
  • Handle a range of Platform duties, including explaining, promoting, referring, and selling PFCU products and services; opening and maintaining accounts based on individual needs; referring members to appropriate business lines to meet needs; handling basic loan requests; ensuring new and existing deposit and loan accounts meet quality control standards; meeting production targets; and assisting members with Safe Deposit requests as needed.
  • Demonstrate problem solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Maintain a high level of personal integrity and comply with the Code of Ethics & Conduct. Ensure Net Promoter Score (NPS) meets PFCU standards.
  • While working on the Teller line, build rapport with members, listen for cues that connect a promotion or financial solution to expressed needs, review the member profile for additional referral opportunities, and encourage meetings with a Personal Service Advisor and other business partners. Follow up with members as needed.
  • Handle other teller functions, such as ensuring requests for Negotiable Items (Money Orders, Cashier’s Checks, Visa Gift Cards, etc.) are processed accurately and recording them properly, and processing the Night Drop, Mail, and Automated Teller Machine (ATM) deposits using dual control.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

To be considered you will need

  • High School graduate or GED equivalent required.
  • Minimum of one year of customer service experience, preferably in a financial or retail setting.
  • Two year college degree preferred.
  • Math ability: able to perform basic mathematical calculations and balance cash with the help of a calculator.
  • Ability to perform accurate cash transactions.
  • Ability to drive sales conversations with members.
  • MS Office applications: Word and Excel, Basic to Intermediate.
  • Demonstrated ability to improve our members’ financial well-being via timely and relevant referrals.
  • Strong attention to detail, including solid data entry with limited errors.
  • Ability to remain calm, patient, objective, and professional when faced with difficult situations.
  • Ability to work in a time-sensitive environment and communicate decisions to all stakeholders.
  • Effective oral and written communication and the ability to maintain effective working relationships.
  • Ability to meet attendance standards and adhere to the scheduled hours.
  • Ability to build rapport with members and recommend personalized banking solutions.
  • Ability to drive sales conversations with members.

Schedule

Full-time during branch hours of operation: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 9:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., and Friday 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Note: 40 hours per week on average, Monday through Friday.
