Location: Minneapolis, MN 55405
Overview
Join our team as a Mortgage Credit Analyst focused on residential lending to guide key business decisions. Your expertise in mortgage underwriting and quality control will be essential for evaluating loan data and ensuring compliance with applicable guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Analyze loan data across conventional, jumbo, and home equity lines to confirm eligibility and compliance.
- Conduct due diligence reviews and prepare the required documentation.
- Assess complex financial information to determine borrower and property eligibility.
- Collaborate with internal departments such as Risk, Compliance, and Legal for policy updates and decision-making.
- Support internal and external audits and handle control testing requests.
- Communicate decisions effectively with stakeholders and propose actionable solutions.
Skills
- Strong mortgage underwriting experience with a focus on autonomous data analysis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective stakeholder interaction.
- Proficiency in managing and interpreting complex loan and credit scenarios.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of property and credit requirements for FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA, and other loan programs.
- Experience with servicing tasks, including line management reviews and subordination requests.
- Ability to work independently and make informed decisions with minimal supervision.
