Background

Global Vendor Finance (GVF) delivers customer financing programs for leading equipment manufacturers, dealers, distributors and service providers, as well as independent leasing and finance companies. GVF collaborates closely with Bank of America's Global Corporate Banking and Global Commercial Banking clients to provide comprehensive vendor finance capabilities that help clients differentiate themselves, drive incremental sales, improve cash flow, generate liquidity and increase market share. Our capabilities include customizable program structures, spanning wholesale and retail models, with and without recourse; a broad range of equipment types such as transportation, material handling, construction, hardware, software, medical, clean energy and others; a full suite of financing products including secured loans, finance leases, FMV leases, TRAC leases and purchase of receivables. GVF operates globally across the US, Canada, Mexico, EMEA and Asia Pacific. Individual transactions range from $50,000 to over $100 million.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Support senior Program Managers in managing and growing existing vendor finance programs, including relationship development, transaction execution and growth initiatives.
  • Assist senior Originators in developing new vendor finance programs, conducting market research, client prospecting and qualification, and supporting program structuring and execution.
  • Regularly engage with LOB leadership, credit, operations, legal, syndications and customer service, as well as Global Corporate Banking and Global Commercial Banking client managers, under the guidance of GVF Sales Executives and assigned Originators or Program Managers.
  • Routine travel to meet with clients and prospects is required.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics or other business concentration; or relevant work experience; MBA preferred.
  • Experience: Five plus years in the commercial finance and/or equipment finance markets, with a preference for vendor finance experience.
  • Skills and Attributes: Self-starter with a proven track record of developing prospects and deepening client relationships; desire to pursue a long-term career in sales; ability to manage internal and external stakeholder relationships; team-oriented and thriving in a dynamic, fast-paced environment; solid knowledge of vendor finance program structures including commercial, financial, legal, tax, pricing and accounting concepts; experience operating within a large, regulated financial institution; professional conduct, compliant behavior and high ethical standards; strong written and verbal communication skills; proficiency with MS Office applications; pricing software experience beneficial (Super Trump, T-Value); travel willingness to engage with clients.
