The Lead Financial Analyst - Logistics delivers comprehensive financial analysis, planning, and forecasting for freight, duty, brokerage, warehousing, and tariff spend. You will drive continuous improvement by partnering with cross functional teams to provide insightful updates. You will monitor key logistics performance metrics to inform strategic decisions and cost optimization projects while strengthening financial visibility across global logistics and supporting cost management. You will lead month end close activities, including preparation and management of freight and duty accruals, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial reporting standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead month end activities related to freight, duties, transfer price adjustments for duties, and warehousing spend, delivering clear insights and actionable recommendations.
- Manage tariff cost tracking, including actuals, forecasts, and risk assessments.
- Drive continuous forecast process improvements by identifying cost drivers and coordinating inputs and related templates.
- Develop the annual operating plan (AOP) that sets freight and duty rates in the annual cost roll process, influencing business unit margins and logistics absorption.
- Monitor key logistics metrics and partner with the logistics team and leadership to drive improvements.
- Provide financial approval and consultation for productivity project tracking and reporting to leadership.
- Deliver financial analysis for the Request for Proposal process of the Third Party Logistics Provider at the Indianapolis Distribution Center, with ongoing tracking and cost comparisons of Rockwell's distribution centers including cost per line analysis and productivity calculations.
- Support Cass Freight Audit and Payment provider transition and the implementation of the Transportation Management System.
Qualifications
The Essential – You Will Have:
- Bachelor's Degree

The Preferred – You Might Also Have:
- BS or BA in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in Finance or Accounting within financial planning and analysis
- Experience communicating the business reasons for financial results
- Customer focused, with an interest in understanding the strategy and priorities of the departments supported
- Experience with accounting and financial reporting concepts
- Experience leading standardization efforts
- Experience exploring data, challenging assumptions, and uncovering deeper insights to improve financial clarity
