Investment Banking - Media & Communications - Analyst

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Investment Banking Analyst to join the Media & Communications Investment Banking team. This role offers an exceptional opportunity to contribute to high-profile transactions and help drive growth within a leading financial institution.

Location: New York, NY 10017

Responsibilities

• Support all phases of transaction execution, including due diligence, document preparation, negotiations, and coordination with the client and other advisers such as accounting and legal teams.
• Collaborate with J.P. Morgan product and sector teams to advance engagements.
• Develop and apply sophisticated financial models, perform valuation analyses, and conduct analytical work.
• Prepare presentation materials for M&A and capital markets transactions, including management presentations, Board materials, memoranda, and other client-ready decks for strategic discussions.
• Stay informed about key market developments and build a solid understanding of target clients and relevant market dynamics.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Licensed to practice; SIE, Series 63, and Series 79.
• Prior work experience in an investment banking front office or a related role.
• Strong accounting, finance, quantitative, and business writing skills.
• A well-rounded academic background from a top-tier educational institution.
• Understanding of the transaction cycle and the steps in the process with an execution-oriented approach.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with senior professionals, clients, and stakeholders across lines of business.
• Self-directed, highly motivated, and capable of working independently.
