Position Details
Contract role: Interim Senior Treasury Analyst. Location: Hybrid remote in Oak Brook, IL (onsite three days per week).
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day treasury operations to fulfill the organization's financial commitments, covering payments processing, cash flow management, intercompany activities, external debt, share repurchases, and capital management.
- Manage the cash forecasting process by coordinating with internal teams such as FP&A, Raw Materials, Accounting, Sales, Tax, and project engineers to gather required information.
- Drive process improvements and automation in global cash management, evaluating efficiency through multi-company netting and potential cash pooling structures.
- Provide support to internal customers in Accounting, Shared Services (AP/AR/Payroll/Vendor Maintenance), FP&A, Tax, and other groups on issues related to payment processing, file handling, and overall treasury processes and procedures.
- Serve as a backup for day-to-day Treasury Analyst activities, ensuring timely and accurate completion of daily tasks and supporting skill development within the role.
- Assist in managing the Treasury Management System to ensure timely and accurate daily file transmissions and effective cash management operations.
- Document and maintain treasury policies and procedures.
- Support the Assistant Treasurer in managing global cash operations, including project management and delivery of cross-functional business initiatives.
- Contribute to other projects and assignments as needed.
Qualifications & Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Treasury Operations or Cash Management.
- Strong proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint (an Excel assessment will be administered).
- Extensive experience configuring and working with Treasury Management Systems.
- Knowledge of cash forecasting models and the transactional payment and receivables processes.
- Solid understanding of bank agreement structures, accounting, and financial statement analysis.
- Experience developing and implementing internal control systems.
- Ability to make quick, effective decisions, identify problems, and think creatively and strategically.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet established guidelines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly across various teams and external parties.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment, with the capability to multi-task and manage competing priorities.
