Overview
Join the Capital Markets Group within Chase Mortgage Banking to support Secondary Marketing Trading activities. Collaborate with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to expand mortgage origination volume, protect the fair market value of loans, and maintain Chase’s competitive pricing. This role suits individuals who excel in a dynamic market environment and are passionate about financial markets.
Responsibilities
- Own Secondary Marketing P&L and assist with risk reporting and attribution.
- Perform financial analysis of trade desk models and positions.
- Assess traders’ daily positions and collaborate to optimize outcomes.
- Maintain and operate proprietary models to maximize portfolio value.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize pooling of mortgage-backed securities.
- Monitor and prioritize at‑risk loans for optimization.
- Create and analyze reports to identify trends and forecast future performance.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Strong financial analysis and accounting capabilities.
- Interest in markets, valuation, and how interest rates affect fixed income assets, particularly mortgages.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Experience with evaluating model performance and reporting.
- Ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.
- Analytical mindset with meticulous attention to detail.
- Experience supporting risk reporting and attribution.
