Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Geopolitical Risk Analyst to join The Hiring Method LLC in the financial services sector. The successful candidate will evaluate and manage risk exposure, perform comprehensive data analysis, and support strategic decision making. Responsibilities
- Analyze large datasets through data mining techniques to identify potential risk factors.
- Develop and maintain data models to evaluate credit, market, and operational risks.
- Conduct statistical analysis using tools such as VBA and other relevant software to support risk assessments.
- Perform quantitative analysis to forecast potential financial impacts and inform risk mitigation strategies.
- Utilise negotiation skills when collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders regarding risk-related issues.
- Prepare detailed reports summarising findings, insights, and recommended actions for senior management.
- Monitor ongoing risk exposures and recommend adjustments based on evolving market conditions.
- Assist in developing policies and procedures related to risk management practices within the organisation.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in risk analysis within banking or financial services industries.
- Strong proficiency in data mining, data modelling, and statistical analysis techniques.
- Advanced knowledge of statistics, mathematics, and quantitative analysis methods.
- Proficiency in VBA programming for automation of data analysis tasks.
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly.
- Familiarity with financial products, banking operations, and regulatory requirements is desirable.
- Degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics or a related discipline is preferred.
