Position details

• Position: General Accountant
• Location: Irving, TX 75038
• Job Type: Contract – 6 months with the possibility of extension
• Work Location: In person
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 08:00 AM to 05:00 PM CST. Flexibility required for early meetings as early as 7:00–7:30 AM CST

Responsibilities

• Assist in financial planning and management of projects, including time recording, valuation, capitalization, and PO forecasting.
• Perform variance analysis between budgeted and actual costs and provide insights to project managers.
• Prepare financial reports, forecasts, and cost estimates for project tracking and oversight.
• Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to provide timely financial insights.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and accounting standards, especially for internally developed technology.
• Review contracts and monitor project cost performance.
• Support financial reporting using tools like Apptio One / Targetprocess, when applicable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field (Required).
• 3–5+ years of experience in project accounting or financial roles (Required).
• 2+ years of SAP experience (Required).
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail (Required).
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with global teams (Required).
• Experience with Apptio One / Targetprocess: 1 year (Required).

• Experience with Apptio One / Targetprocess (Preferred).
• Experience working with distributed/global teams (Preferred).
• Additional language skills (Preferred).
• Adaptability to new tools and systems (Preferred).

Compensation and additional details

• Pay: $45.00 per hour
