Job Description
Overview
Open the door to client service and growth as a Financial Services Representative in our Hartsville branch. You will support both sales and service delivery, strengthening banking relationships through proactive outreach and timely service requests. The role involves opening deposit accounts and related banking services, handling lending activities (including consumer real estate secured loans), and identifying as well as referring sales opportunities to the appropriate bank partner. Location: Hartsville, SC 29550.

Responsibilities
- Meet individual and/or team financial, production, and relationship targets aligned with defined metrics and community needs, supporting the bank’s commitment to diverse lending
- Proactively engage customers, prospects, and referral sources to generate opportunities
- Represent the Bank in the community when appropriate, attending civic and community events to foster business development and identify potential CRA opportunities
- Conduct sales activities that deliver value for both customers and the bank
- Collaborate, plan, and prepare to ensure conversations provide the relevant financial guidance needed for informed decisions
Service Standards
- Foster collaborative partnerships that create value for customers, prospects, and colleagues
- Initiate conversations to uncover sales or referral opportunities
- Listen attentively, ask insightful questions to understand customer needs, and act promptly to address them
- Seek coaching and support bank initiatives; leverage tools to enhance performance
Operations and Administration
- Comply with all regulations, bank policies, procedures, and delegated authorities to manage risk across credit, operational, reputational, regulatory, and legal aspects of personal interactions and transactions
- Complete required training by set deadlines
- Perform general office duties as assigned to ensure operational efficiency
- Alumni in deposit-taking roles are accountable for transaction accuracy and operational efficiency within that function
- Results may reflect both individual contributions and team performance
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree with 1 year of experience in sales, customer service, or lending; or 6 months of experience in a First Citizens Bank customer support role; or participation in a First Citizens career development program; OR
- High School Diploma or GED with 5 years of experience in sales, customer service, or lending; or 6 months of experience in a First Citizens Bank customer support role; or participation in a First Citizens career development program
Preferred Area of Experience
- Financial services sales; telephone sales
License or Certification Type
If licensing is required, complete the bank‑sponsored licensing program within 12 months of starting the role.
