Overview

Florence County’s Department of Human Services is seeking a Financial Manager to lead the financial operations for programs serving children, families, and vulnerable adults in the community. This leadership role oversees the department’s budget, financial reporting, grant compliance, and coordination with county and state fiscal requirements. The Financial Manager partners with department leadership and the County Finance Office to ensure prudent use of public funds and adherence to Wisconsin human services funding regulations.

Responsibilities

Direct the fiscal operations for programs supporting children, families, and vulnerable adults.
Manage the department's budget and prepare financial reports.
Ensure grant compliance and reporting obligations are met.
Coordinate with county and state fiscal requirements to maintain regulatory alignment.
Collaborate with department leadership and the County Finance Office to promote responsible stewardship of public funds.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field is preferred.
Experience in governmental accounting, budgeting, or grant management is preferred.
Strong analytical and financial reporting skills.
Public sector or human services fiscal experience is preferred.

Compensation & Benefits
