Financial Controller

Overview

Stewart Restaurant Group, LLC invites applications for a Financial Controller in Klamath Falls, Oregon. This regular, full-time role supports the Chief Financial Officer by planning and directing accounting operations, gathering and consolidating financial data for internal and external statements, and evaluating accounting and internal control systems. Relocation to Klamath Falls is required, as remote work is not available. Key responsibilities

• Prepare financial reports and conduct analysis
• Manage cash flow effectively
• Perform account reconciliations
• Ensure compliance with statutory laws and financial regulations
• Record, file, and report all financial transactions accurately
• Maintain financial reporting systems
• Oversee the work and development of accounting staff

Qualifications and experience

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related business field
• Self-driven with initiative on projects and strong problem-solving skills
• Experience in hiring, developing and training accounting staff
• Ability to research, plan and implement accounting department initiatives, including software or system improvements
• Skill in evaluating, implementing and streamlining policies, procedures, controls and methodologies
• Deep understanding of accounting principles and GAAP
• Ability to collaborate with senior management and department managers on accounting matters
• Strong ability to meet deadlines
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities
• Attention to detail

Location and relocation

Location: Klamath Falls, OR 97603. Relocation to the area is required for this role, and the position cannot be performed remotely.
