Job Description

Metro Tech Electric Inc. invites applications for a Financial Controller to lead our financial operations with accuracy and strategic insight. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all accounting functions, ensure regulatory compliance, and elevate the quality of financial reporting. Your expertise will shape our financial strategy, optimize cash management, and uphold the highest standards of precision and integrity across all financial activities. Location: Oklahoma City, OK 73179.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements in line with GAAP and other applicable regulations.
  • Manage general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, and accounts payable/receivable to maintain accurate records.
  • Direct cash flow forecasting and cash management strategies, and ensure timely payroll processing using Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, or similar platforms.
  • Supervise regulatory reporting requirements for governmental contracts, ensuring compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley Act controls and internal audit standards.
  • Conduct detailed financial and account analyses to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate with external auditors during audits, prepare audit schedules, and facilitate transparent communication regarding financial health.
  • Lead initiatives in accounts payable and receivable management while ensuring adherence to corporate accounting policies and double-entry bookkeeping principles.
  • Develop comprehensive financial reports that communicate complex concepts clearly to stakeholders; write detailed financial reports for internal review or regulatory submission.
  • Drive continuous improvement in financial processes through automation, software upgrades, or procedural enhancements to increase efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Financial Controller or in a senior accounting role.
  • Extensive knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, SOX compliance requirements, and governmental accounting standards.
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing complex financial concepts such as technical accounting, account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and account analysis.
  • Strong background in using accounting software including Sage, Xero, QuickBooks or similar platforms; proficiency in financial management tools is a must.
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial report writing to support strategic planning efforts.
  • Familiarity with public accounting practices combined with hands-on experience in regulatory reporting enhances ability to navigate diverse compliance landscapes.
  • Excellent analytical skills paired with strong attention to detail enable precise financial oversight and decision-making support.
  • Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly across teams and stakeholders while maintaining high standards of accuracy.
