Position overview

As a Financial Analyst II, you will handle the financial aspects of sourcing events, including data cleansing, spend analysis, vendor proposal evaluation, and the creation of complex financial analyses. You will summarize and clearly communicate the financial results of these analyses to the Sourcing team.

Role responsibilities and qualifications
- Prepare Request for Information (RFI) and Request for Proposal (RFP) documents.
- Data cleansing of purchase histories obtained through RFI and internal data sources.
- Conduct accurate and timely financial analysis of vendor pricing proposals.
- Effectively communicate analysis results to the Sourcing team.
- Support the Sourcing team throughout vendor negotiations.
- Provide ongoing finance assistance related to the management of agreements.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of detailed pricing files for sourcing projects.
- Compose financial memos summarizing the financial value of each project.
- Create financial impact workbooks for members.
- Evaluate price and product amendments to purchasing agreements.
- Learn, understand, and adhere to the financial analytical standard methodology and processes.
- Develop new methodologies for performing financial and opportunity analysis of proposals when necessary.
- Provide recommendations to improve processes when necessary.
- Help test tools for automation when necessary.
- Complete ad hoc requests from management.
- Ability to work independently and successfully in a dynamic, ambiguous environment.
- Meet deadlines while managing the financial analysis for multiple projects.
- Interact daily with both internal and external individuals.
- Accept feedback and work to improve performance when needed.
Education and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field required.
- 3-5+ years of relevant experience.
- Strong experience in MS Excel required.
- Experience with Macros, Power Query, and Power Pivot preferred.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills required.
