We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst Advisor / Finance Business Partner to support the Enterprise Technology business unit. This role suits a finance professional who thrives on delivering complex financial insights and partnering with business leaders to drive performance and strategic decision making. As a trusted advisor, you will lead in depth financial analyses related to operating results, capital requirements, and investment opportunities. You will design and implement financial planning frameworks, translate data into strategic recommendations, and provide consultative support on financial policies and procedures. Your responsibilities include preparing forecasts, evaluating capital expenditures, conducting economic research, and presenting actionable recommendations to senior leadership.

Work setup and location

This position is hybrid and may require in office attendance for team meetings and collaboration as requested by your manager. You will be expected to attend Finance meetings allocated by your manager. The role can be based in one of the following Jack Henry office locations: Lenexa, KS; Monett, MO; Springfield, MO; or Allen, TX (zip 75013).

What you'll be responsible for

  • Perform highly complex financial analyses on cash flow, operating results, and business plans to determine rates of return and capital/cash flow requirements.
  • Develop, interpret, and implement financial concepts for planning and control.
  • Gather, analyze, prepare, and summarize recommendations for financial plans, acquisition activity, trend projections, and operating forecasts.
  • Conduct economic research in areas such as rates of return, depreciation, working capital needs, investment opportunities, investment performance, and the impact of governmental requirements.
  • Evaluate and analyze capital expenditures, depreciation, proposals, investments, rate of return, profit plans, operating records, and financial statements.
  • Document revenues and expected expenditures and prepare summary statements and supporting documents.
  • Serve as a consultant to management on financial policies, procedures, and applications.
  • Prepare special studies, analyses, and recommendations for budgets, business forecasts, financial plans, governmental requirements, and statistical reports.
  • May assist less experienced peers and may act as a team leader. May perform other duties as assigned.

What you'll need to have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration.
  • Minimum 10 years of combined experience in areas such as Strategic Finance, P&L ownership, Accounting, Finance Business Partnering, Finance Operations, Corporate Finance, or Financial Planning & Analysis including annual budgeting, monthly forecasting, expense analysis, and management reporting.
  • Experience in a FinTech or SaaS or technology organization, or direct support of a technical business unit.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills for building financial models.
  • Strong ability to plan, prioritize, and organize a diversified workload to meet tight deadlines.
  • Solid business acumen and a drive to deepen knowledge of the business and industry.
  • Ability to recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Willingness to work extended hours and late evenings as business needs dictate, with occasional overtime.
  • Ability to travel up to 5 percent for internal meetings, trainings, and conferences.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Project or Capital Planning.
  • Experience in the financial or fintech industry.
  • Experience with OneStream, Power Query, or Power BI.
