Financial Analyst Accounting/Full-Time

Location: Santa Fe, NM 87505

Position Summary

Coordinate and support general accounting and financial reporting for the Region and its affiliates. Manage the month-end close and reconciliations, and assist in compiling the work papers required for the annual audit. May help prepare tax filings and government reporting.

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or four years of accounting experience may substitute for the degree.
• Certification/Licenses: CPA and/or MBA preferred.
• Skills: Thorough knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles; knowledge of electronic data processing systems; proficiency in Excel and word processing programs; strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; proactive, articulate, effective, and positive communication skills are required.
• Experience: At least four years in accounting, including: financial statement preparation (with financial indicators); general ledger month-end close processes; account variance analysis; audit preparation; joint ventures, partnership and consolidation accounting; tax reporting experience. Reimbursement exposure/experience helpful; experience in financial management of physician practices helpful. Five years of experience in an acute health care setting is preferred.

Nature of Supervision

Reports to the Accounting Manager and/or Controller.

Environment

Subject to Bloodborne Pathogen standard A. No contact with body fluids. Office environment with many and conflicting deadlines. Must maintain composure and manage multiple priorities.

Physical Requirements

Extensive keyboard data entry with adherence to sound ergonomic principles. Requires knowledge of general safety standards.
