Financial Analyst, Accounting and Planning - Hybrid

Role overview

Vaco by Highspring is seeking a Financial Analyst to support forecasting, planning, and analysis for the client. This position is suited for an accountant transitioning into FP&A or pursuing FP&A, with a strong foundation in the balance sheet. The role will play a pivotal part in developing and enhancing forecasting models and establishing more structured underwriting and planning processes. This is a hybrid role based in Birmingham, Alabama 35209.

Key responsibilities

• Own and support forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning activities
• Build and maintain detailed financial models and Excel based analyses
• Analyze balance sheet and P&L activity to support planning decisions
• Assist in financial review processes
• Partner with leadership on financial insights and ad hoc analysis

Qualifications

• Accounting background with FP&A experience or strong interest in FP&A
• Strong Excel and data analysis skills
• Solid understanding of financial statements, especially the balance sheet
• Experience in forecasting, planning, or financial modeling
