Financial Analyst

Overview

We are seeking a Financial Analyst, FP&A to support financial planning, analysis, and pricing activities within a distribution environment. This role collaborates closely with Sales, Marketing, and department leaders to deliver timely, accurate insights that inform business decisions, improve profitability, and strengthen forecasting accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the annual budgeting process, typically conducted August through Thanksgiving.
• Partner with department budget owners to build, review, and update budgets and forecasts.
• Maintain and update budget templates and planning tools.
• Assist with headcount planning and related financial analysis.
• Build, maintain, and update financial models in Excel.
• Perform ad hoc financial analyses to support leadership and operational decision-making.
• Review pricing requests from the Sales team.
• Analyze margins and profitability across customers, products, and channels.
• Support the pricing approval process with clear financial analysis and recommendations.
• Serve as a primary FP&A point of contact for Sales, Marketing, and department leaders.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to assess the financial impact of business initiatives.
• Support special projects and continuous improvement efforts as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; 4–7 years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, or corporate finance. Experience in distribution, manufacturing, or a similar operational environment is preferred. Advanced Excel skills, including financial modeling and data analysis. Strong analytical ability with the capacity to translate data into actionable insights. Effective communication skills and comfort partnering with non-finance stakeholders.
