Position Overview

As a Financial Advisor, you will guide existing and prospective clients through a broad spectrum of financial planning products and services, applying specialized expertise to determine the most suitable solutions for each client. You will assess financial and investment needs, provide guidance on personal investment product purchases, and maintain a strong track record of profitable sales that meet or exceed targets. You will uphold all required licenses, stay current with the investment product portfolio, and lead business development efforts by networking within the Bank and the community and generating leads among existing customers to establish advisory relationships and grow profitable new business. You will stay informed about industry product trends and issues and engage in proactive learning to stay updated on tax and investment developments. You will serve as a resource to other licensed Investment Associates and Wealth Management professionals.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and execute business development efforts, networking within the Bank and community to convert connections into advisory relationships and new business.
  • Provide personalized investment guidance and recommendations aligned with each client’s goals and risk tolerance.
  • Maintain and expand expertise on the current investment product portfolio.
  • Keep licenses in good standing and operate in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with Wealth Management colleagues to share knowledge and best practices.
  • Stay informed on tax and investment developments and translate updates into client strategies.
  • Act as a resource to other licensed Investment Associates and Wealth Management professionals.

Required Qualifications

  • College degree or equivalent experience.
  • 1-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Certification/License: Series 7, Series 66, and life insurance licenses required; additional licensure is encouraged.
  • Ability to cultivate relationships with prospective and existing clients.
  • Excellent presentation skills to enhance the organization’s image to potential clients.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to convey information clearly.
  • Capability to acquire and maintain up-to-date product information across all supported products and stay informed about industry trends and developments.
  • Innovative and flexible approach to meet the demands of a dynamic market.
  • Strong analytical skills to recommend appropriate products and services.
  • Team-oriented with the ability to share knowledge and collaborate.
  • Commitment to ethical and collegial conduct consistent with regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to build positive, collaborative relationships with Bank colleagues.
